Minn downey, RMT
(they/she)
Minn joins Sore Spots with background experience running her own clinic for years on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. In addition to her work as an RMT, she is actively teaching & acting as Clinical Supervisor at a local massage therapy college (CCMH).
Now a proud Dartmouth resident, she loves to read, run, cook & eat good food with good friends. Minn’s work as a massage therapist is founded on a love of movement, mindful embodiment & a balanced approach to health.
What’s your sore spot? Minn’s here to help you.
Minn’s mantra for bodywork is "start where you are, use what you have"; depending on postural manifestations and specific clinical assessments, Minn's practice is often adaptive to the needs of each client and their bodies.
Their continuing education has included myofascial release, pelvic rebalancing & Pilates as remedial exercise. Their approach to massage combines both deep tissue, barefoot massage (in training) and myofascial work with dynamic myotonic movement and mobilization.
Minn is wearing what we hear is the very last shirt you will ever be able to buy from one of our favourite places to get Pho in the city.
Pho Hoang Minh is located on Wyse Road. If you need a little comfort stew or wanna see where all the locals go to get the best lunch deals, visit this sweet, family run restaurant just around the corner from the MacDonald Bridge on the Dartmouth side.
